Legal and FAQ


PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE. IT CONSTITUTES PART OF YOUR CONTRACT FOR TRAVEL RELATED SERVICES.

1. DOCUMENTS - You should receive your documents about two weeks before your vacation starts. Please review them when you receive them and call Mayhugh Travel, Inc. immediately if you have any questions or concerns.

2. CHECK-IN - Minimum check-in time: Domestic flights 1 hour; International flight, 2 hours.

3. RECONFIRMATION - Reconfirm the day and time of flights at least 24 hours for domestic and 72 hours for international. Reconfirmation is mandatory for most international flights. Failure to use any reservations may result in automatic cancellation of all continuing and return reservations.

4. EXCURSION AND PROMOTIONAL FARES - Most discount fares involve certain restrictions. A change in carrier(s), flight(s), time(s), or routing(s) could result in carrier demanding a full fare. Obtain agency or airline assistance before making changes. These times, flights and fares are based on current tariffs that are subject to change without notice.

5. TICKETS - Cancelled or unused tickets must be returned for proper credit to your account. Lost, stolen or destroyed tickets must be paid for until refund is received from the issuing carrier and are subject to an airline imposed service charge.

6. HOTELS - Hotels are usually confirmed on a guaranteed payment basis. If you cancel or change plans, please notify your hotel(s) within the time period specified by that hotel.

7. TOURS/PACKAGE PRICES are subject to change without notice due to currency fluctuations, tariff changes or increase in operational costs. In addition, group/packages are based on a Minimum Number of passengers traveling; if the number of passengers falls below the minimum required, a surcharge may be imposed on all passengers.

8. OTHER CHARGES - We reserve the right to charge processing fees in the event of refunds, cancellations or special services.

9. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY - Mayhugh Travel, Inc. is acting only as an agent for suppliers in selling travel related services, or in accepting reservations or bookings for services that are not directly supplied by this travel agency (such as air and ground transportation, hotel accommodations, meals, tours, cruises, etc.). Mayhugh Travel, Inc., therefore, shall not be responsibility for breach of contract, failure to comply with any laws such as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any intentional or careless actions or omissions on part of such suppliers, which result in any loss, damage, delay, or injury to you or your travel companions or group members. Unless the term "guaranteed" is specifically stated in writing on your ticket, invoice, or reservation itinerary, we do not guarantee any of such suppliers' rates, bookings, reservations, connections, scheduling, or handling of personal effects. Mayhugh Travel, Inc. shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses caused to any traveler in connection with terrorist activities, social, or labor unrest, mechanical or construction failures or difficulties, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, criminal acts or abnormal conditions or developments, or any other actions, omissions, or conditions outside the travel agent's control. Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for, and hereby releases this travel agency from any duty of, checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of each destination, and all safety or security conditions at such destinations, during the length of the proposed travel. For information concerning possible dangers at international destinations, contact the Travel Advisory Section of the U.S. State Department (202) 647-5225 or log on to http://www.travel.state.gov/. For medical information, call the Public Health Service (404) 332-4559 or log on to http://www.cdc.gov/travel/travel.html. By embarking upon his/her travel, the traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved in such travel, whether expected or unexpected. Traveler is hereby warned of such risks, and is advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage against them. Traveler's retention of tickets, reservations, or bookings after issuance shall constitute a consent to the above, and an agreement on his/her part to convey the contents hereto to his/her travel companions or group members.

10. PASSPORTS AND VISAS - Proof of identity is required for international travel. Without proper identification, a passport and necessary visas you will not be permitted to depart. It is your responsibility to verify your necessary travel documents. Your passport must be valid for at least six months after the end of your trip. If you need a new passport or need to renew your old one, please allow several months for processing. Non U.S. Citizens should consult the appropriate consulate(s) for information about their passport requirements.

11. CANCELLATION POLICY - Certain suppliers have cancellation penalties. Please be sure to review the terms and conditions on the travel brochure, and on tickets issued by each travel operator.

12. CALIFORNIA DISCLOSURE - Mayhugh Travel, Inc. is a participant in the Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation (TCRC). You, the passenger, may request reimbursement from TCRC if you are owed a refund of more than $50 for transportation or travel services, which was not refunded in a timely manner by a seller of travel who was registered and participating in the TCRC at the time of sale. The maximum amount, which may be paid by the TCRC to any one passenger is the total amount paid on behalf of the passenger to the seller of travel, not to exceed $15,000. A claim must be submitted to TCRC within six months after the scheduled completion date of travel. A claim must include sufficient information and documentation to prove your claim and a $35 processing fee. You must agree to waive your right to other civil remedies against a registered participating seller of travel for matters arising out of a sale for which you file a claim with TCRC, if you were located in California at the time of the sale. Passengers purchasing from outside of California: These transactions are not covered by the California Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation. 13. NOTICE - In the event it becomes necessary or advisable for the comfort and well being of the passengers, or for any reason whatsoever, to alter itineraries or arrangements, such alterations may be made without penalty to Mayhugh Travel or its member agencies. The right is reserved to withdraw any or all tours should conditions warrant, and to decline to accept certain passengers as members of tours. All efforts have been made to produce brochures, tours and invoice information accurately, however, typos, errors, or omissions might occur. We reserve the right to correct errors. We are not responsible for any damages or costs should this happen. While we fully intend to operate all of the enclosed tour programs, Mayhugh Travel reserves the right to withdraw the land portion of any of the included combinations should Mayhugh Travel deem that it becomes necessary to do this.

14. ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS - Cruise Lines, Tour Operators, Air carries and other travel suppliers may have additional terms and conditions that will apply to your vacation. These terms and conditions are printed on their tickets and constitute part of your passenger contract.

15. TRAVEL INSURANCE - We strongly recommend Travel Insurance. We know you would never want to cancel your trip, but sometimes situations cause you to change your travel plans. Contact Mayhugh Travel, Inc. for details about obtaining this kind of insurance.
